Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of wax do you use?

We use 100% soy wax in our candles, except for the specialty beeswax candles.

Why are your wax melts packaged different?

We try to cut our use of single use plastics any way we can, so our wax melts are packaged in biodegradable bags. Inside the bag is the same clamshell mold shape you're likely used to seeing, just without the waste!

Where are you located?

We don't have a physical storefront, but we're located in Rome, GA. You can usually find us at local markets around Northwest Georgia!

Why is there wax on the edges of the jar?

Don’t be worried if there is wax buildup on the inside of the jar for the first 1-2 burns. Once the jar gets hotter, it’ll melt down. This is to ensure the candle doesn’t burn too hot further down in the jar.

Are your candles safe to burn around pets?

All of our fragrances are CleanScent certified and safe to burn around animals, with the exception of domesticated birds who can be more sensitive to fragrances. However, you should never leave an animal unsupervised around an open flame or hot wax melter.

Are your candles vegan?

Our candles and ingredients are vegan and cruelty-free. There is no animal testing involved in our candle making process.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Orders are typically processed within 3 business days of placement. If we have stock available, your order will ship immediately. For out of stock items, we have a two week lead time due to the longer cure time of soy wax. Note that demand increases during the fall and winter months so orders may take additional time to process and ship.

How long do your candles last?

Assuming a user does 4-hour burns and uses proper wick-trimming practices:

Our 4 oz candles typically burn for 20-25 hours.

Our 9 oz candles typically burn for 45-50 hours.

Why is it important to trim the wick of a candle?

If you don't trim candle wicks, the flame can become too large, producing excessive soot and smoke, causing uneven wax melting (potentially creating a "tunnel" in the candle), and ultimately shortening the lifespan of your candle by burning the wax too quickly;along with being a potential fire hazard, this can also leave black residue on your candle jar and surrounding surfaces due to the soot buildup.
